Advancing More Sustainable Manufacturing

2026.09.11 65

Across our operations, we focus on practical ways to use resources more efficiently — from renewable energy and water recovery to smarter processes.

I. Advancing Renewable Energy

Renewable Energy: Expanding On-Site Solar Power

We are expanding on-site renewable energy across our manufacturing operations. Installed photovoltaic capacity has reached 2,072.18 kWp, generating approximately 1.30 million kWh in 2025, with additional capacity being integrated into C12 and C13 new facilities.

II. Improving Energy Efficiency Across Operations

Smarter Energy Management

Intelligent lighting controls across cleanrooms and utility areas are reducing unnecessary energy use, delivering approximately 315,000 kWh in annual electricity savings. The approach is being extended across additional facilities.

Reducing Process Energy

Cobetter’s membrane deaeration technology helps customer in reducing the energy demand associated with conventional high-temperature deaeration.

Below are 2 success collaboration applications that demonstrates measurable impact:

1. Large-scale steam generation facility

Adoption of Cobetter’s membrane deaeration technology delivered approximately RMB 2.4 million in annual energy cost savings

2. Industrial manufacturing facility

Integration of membrane deaeration with a high-efficiency condenser delivered approximately RMB 4.2 million in annual energy cost savings, alongside an estimated 3,583-tonne reduction in CO₂ emissions annually.

III. Advancing Resource Circularity

We are reducing waste by recovering and reusing resources across our manufacturing operations.

Recovering Water & Resources

Cobetter combines biological treatment with AO-MBR, ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis to treat and recover wastewater for reuse within our operations.

The process also enables sludge reduction and biogas recovery, with recovered biogas reused as an energy source — turning wastewater treatment into an opportunity for resource recovery.

Extending Material Use

Selected filtration materials are being evaluated for regeneration and reuse, helping extend material life and reduce waste. Initial performance testing has been completed, with further production-scale validation underway.

Building Sustainability into Everyday Manufacturing

For Cobetter, sustainability is not a standalone initiative. It is increasingly part of how we think about manufacturing, technology and process efficiency

More efficient processes. More responsible use of resources. Measurable progress.
