Sample preparation is to make the sample compatible with the HPLC method to be used, reduce sample complexity, remove interfering substances, without damaging the columns. Sample preparation begins with sample collection and continues until sample injection into HPLC and column loading, involving multiple steps that can have a significant impact on the accuracy, precision, and convenience of the final method.

Filtration is the most commonly used method for sample separation and concentration in laboratories. Before HPLC analysis, use a syringe filter to remove particulate impurities from the sample, as these particles will affect the service life of the column. The filtered sample can reduce background interference during analysis, ensuring the reliability and repeatability of the analysis results.

The concentration of protein samples mainly uses centrifuge filters and laboratory tangential flow filtration (TFF) products, which can achieve simple and rapid concentration, desalination and buffer exchange.
