Cobetter ATF Control System (ATF.C26) Officially Launched

2025.09.03 30

ATF (Alternating Tangential Flow) control systems are widely used in biopharmaceutical manufacturing, cell culture, and bioprocess optimization, playing a vital role especially in perfusion culture processes. By integrating ATF controllers, vacuum pumps, hollow fiber modules, and bioreactors, this system enables reciprocating flow of cell fluid within hollow fibers while controlling feed and harvest pumps for medium exchange, continuously providing an optimal growth and expression environment for cells. Cobetter ATF Control System, paired with self-manufactured hollow fiber modules, achieves localization of key perfusion process equipment and consumables, reducing development and scale-up costs to some extent.

Perfusion Process Applications

  • High-density seed cell preparation at the N-1 stage;
  • Continuous medium exchange and target product harvest in dynamic perfusion and continuous perfusion cultures;
  • Medium exchange in concentrated fed-batch cultures;
  • Medium exchange during virus production;
  • Clarification and concentration of cell lysis buffer;
  • Applications in high-density cell/microorganism cultivation scenarios like cultured meat and brewing.

Features of Cobetter ATF Controller

Broad Applicability

P/E flow rate covers 0.5–20 L/min. A single unit supports lab-scale to pilot-scale (ATF2–ATF6) applications

Rapid Startup

Built-in recipe function allows pre-simulation of working conditions to obtain key parameters and establish recipes. P/E flow stabilizes quickly after startup.

Operational Stability Assurance

Pressure-controlled switching logic reduces diaphragm dwell time during positive/negative pressure transitions, ensuring flow stability and authenticity of P/E flow rates.

Operational Safety Assurance

Equipped with a bubble detector that precisely identifies liquid media in gas lines, preventing continued operation after diaphragm rupture to ensure system safety.

Complete Data Recording

Built-in audit trail function comprehensively records critical parameters and operational details during batch runs, facilitating data analysis and improving traceability.

Optimized Vessel Weight Control (Optional Module)

Reserved interface for vessel weight control module enhances perfusion stability and safety, compensating for functional limitations in some reactors.
