Cell Culture and Harvest

The upstream of biopharmaceutical manufacturing often uses suspension cells for high-density cultivation. Bacterial or mycoplasma infection can lead to cell culture failure, so ensuring the sterility of culture media and other raw materials is particularly important. The commonly methods of harvesting and clarification for cell culture include tangential flow filtration (TFF) and depth filtration, while depth filtration is currently the main method for clarification and harvesting of cell culture media in monoclonal antibody production.
